Matter: The bridge that connects smart devices.

Unifying devices under one protocol

Matter is a software development kit (SDK) that defines fundamental requirements to enable interoperability between devices. It eliminates the boundaries across hardware offerings from different manufacturers.

Standardization

A standard application layer uses Thread, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet for transport and Bluetooth LE for commissioning to achieve device interoperability.

Security

Proof of identity on devices with cryptographic certificates and minimized data sharing outside of executing specific device operations keeps connections and sensitive information secure.

Scalability

The open standard enables anyone to inspect the template for Matter interactions between legitimate Matter nodes.
