Murata BBSC/UBSC/ULSC Ultra-Broadband SMT Si Capacitors
Murata BBSC / UBSC / ULSC Ultra-Broadband SMT Si Capacitors target optical communication systems (ROSA/TOSA, SONET, and all optoelectronics) and high-speed data systems or products. These capacitors are designed for DC blocking, coupling, and bypass grounding applications. The silicon capacitors offer low insertion loss, low reflection, and high phase stability from 16kHz, up to 67GHz for the UBSC, up to 40GHz for the BBSC, and up to 20GHz for the ULSC. These deep-trench silicon capacitors have been developed with a semiconductor MOS process, allowing high reliability and capacitance stability overvoltage (0.1%/V) and temperature (60ppm/K). The components feature an extended operating temperature range from -55°C to +150°C. A high-temperature curing process (above +900°C) generates a pure oxide, providing reliable, repeatable performance. The BBSC / UBSC / ULSC components comply with standard JEDEC assembly rules, making the product fully compatible with high-speed, automated pick-and-place manufacturing operations. Depending on the case size, these capacitors are available with ENIG terminations or lead-free pre-bumping.
