POSISTOR® PTC Thermistors

Murata POSISTOR® Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) Thermistors are ideal for circuit protection in a variety of applications, such as temperature sensor and temperature compensation. These devices are also suitable for current control in common household appliances, humidifiers, dryers of all kinds, refrigerators, freezers, and air conditioners. In a conventional NTC thermistor, the resistance decreases when the temperature increases, but for the Murata PTC thermistors, the resistance rises sharply when their temperature exceeds a specific temperature.

PRG Series PTC Thermistors

Murata Electronics PRG Series PTC Thermistors are posistors for overcurrent protection that offer a voltage rating up to 32V and a current range of 10mA to 75mA. These thermistors feature a compact design, low profile, and a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C. PRG thermistors automatically return to their initial state when the overcurrent is eliminated and can be used repeatedly. Murata Electronics PRG Series PTC Thermistors are suitable for various types of equipment, including aircraft, aerospace, disaster, medical, crime prevention, and transportation.
