Microchip Technology EVB-KSZ9897 Evaluation Boards

Microchip Technology EVB-KSZ9897-1 Evaluation Boards are development tools that evaluate KSZ9897, a seven-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch. An Ethernet switch is used in a wired network to connect to other devices using Ethernet cables. The eval boards feature three Gigabit Ethernet products: KSZ9897R, KSZ9031RNX, and LAN7801. The boards are also fitted with a DSC400, a four-output crystal-less™ clock generator, to provide low-jitter clock pulses to the KSZ9897, LAN7801, and KSZ9031 controllers. The DSC400 provides two independent select lines for choosing between two sets of pre-configured frequencies per bank. Both boards can interface with Ethernet and USB connections. The EVB-KSZ9897-1 also can interface with I2C, Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI), and Reduced Gigabit Media Independent Interface (RGMII).
