Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) EV2181-TL-00A Evaluation Board allows the end-user to evaluate the features and functionalities of the MP2181 synchronous step-down converter. The MP2181 synchronous step-down converter is a monolithic switch-mode converter with built-in internal power MOSFETs. This converter achieves a 1A continuous output current from a 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage with excellent load and line regulation. The output voltage in the MP2181 step-down converter can be regulated to as low as 0.6V. This step-down converter features a Constant-On-Time (COT) control scheme that provides a fast transient response and eases loop stabilization. Fault protections include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. Typical applications of this EV2181-TL-00A eval board include wireless/networking cards, portable instruments, battery-powered devices, and multifunction printers.
