Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP173A 700V Non-Isolated Offline Regulators

Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) MP173A 700V Non-Isolated Offline Regulators are primary-side regulators that provide accurate constant voltage (CV) regulation without an optocoupler. The devices support buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback topologies. The integrated 700V MOSFET simplifies the structure and reduces cost. This feature optimizes the regulators for offline, low-power applications, such as home appliances and standby power. These green-mode operation regulators provide excellent efficiency at light loads and improve overall efficiency. This is because both the peak current and switching frequency lower as the load decreases. Protections include thermal shutdown (TSD), VCC undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overload (OLP), short circuit (SCP), and open-loop detection. MPS MP173A 700V Non-Isolated Offline Regulators are available in TSOT23-5 and SOIC-8 packages.
