onsemi NIS5x2x eFuses
onsemi NIS5x2x eFuses enhance the reliability of a hard drive or other circuit from both catastrophic and shutdown failures. The NIS5x2x eFuses are designed to buffer the load device from excessive input voltage which can damage sensitive circuits.
The eFuse includes an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients. This does not shut the unit down allowing the load circuit to continue its operation. The NIS5x2x eFuses allow paralleling of eFuses as well as synchronizing turning on and off.
