EMI/RFI Shielding for High-Reliability Connectors

Harwin EMI/RFI Shielding for High-Reliability Connectors are made from aluminum alloy with electroless nickel plating to ensure strength and performance. The EMI/RFI shielding provides screening and increased durability for Gecko 1.25mm-pitch and Datamate 2mm-pitch high-reliability connector ranges. Harwin EMI/RFI Shielding is available in male or female cable options and male board mounts. 

High-Reliability Connector Solutions

Harwin High-Reliability Connector Solutions include innovative products for reliable, high-performance connectivity to push the boundaries of size, weight and power (SWaP) optimization. These products have proven to perform in the most extreme conditions of shock, vibration, and temperature. These connector solutions feature high-reliability interconnect families, such as Gecko (1.25mm pitch), Datamate (2mm and 4mm pitch), M300 (3mm pitch), and Kona (8.5mm). Harwin High-Reliability Connector Solutions are built for challenging environments where failure is not an option such as aviation, space, defense, motorsport, medical, and high-end industrial applications. 

Datamate Metal Backshells

Harwin Datamate Metal Backshells prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) thanks to the aluminum alloy construction with electroless nickel plating. The series is designed for use with J-Tek and Mix-Tek connectors. The metal backshells offer an RF attenuation rating of 10kHz to 400MHz at >30dBs for existing designs and new builds. The female backshells feature a single large elliptical straight cable-entry port that accepts signal, power, and coax cable for varied requirements. Vertical and horizontal male PCB-mount and panel-mount configurations are available for a fully shielded solution. Horizontal PCB-mount backshells are compatible with through-board and SMT terminations and can be assembled any time after the connector is mounted to the board. Harwin Datamate Metal Backshells are ideal for aviation, industrial, defense, and security applications.

Datamate Connectors

Harwin Datamate Connectors consist of high-reliability/high-performance 2mm pitch connectors designed to withstand vibration, shock, and temperature extremes in harsh environments. Featuring Harwin's high-reliability four-finger beryllium copper contact technology, these Datamate connectors ensure the integrity of connections without loss of data even under the most severe conditions. The Datamate Connectors offer 100G shock, 40G bump, 10G vibration resistance, and are able to operate under temperatures as extreme as -55°C to 125°C. Typical applications include defense and security, motorsport, aviation, and new space.
