Microchip Technology MIC2800 Digital Power Management ICs
Microchip Technology MIC2800 Digital Power Management ICs are designed to integrate a 2MHz DC/DC converter with an LDO post-regulator to provide two high-efficiency outputs. These ICs feature the LOWQ mode that reduces the total current drawn to 30µA and reduces the output noise of the DC/DC converter to 75µVRMS. The DC/DC converter retains efficiencies of over 90% at load currents of up to 600mA by using small values of L and C.The MIC2800 ICs reduce required board space, component cost, and increases stability by operating with very small ceramic output capacitors and inductors. These ICs are available in a tiny 16-pin 3mm x 3mm QFN package. Typical applications include low-power RF systems, backup power systems, embedded MPU, and MCU power.
