Bridgetek Intelligent Display Panels (IDP)

A key advantage of the Bridgetek IDP range is the flexibility in the system architecture and connectivity. The panels communicate with host systems over robust interfaces such as RS485 (and Wi‑Fi^®/BLUETOOTH^® on selected models). These interfaces make the panels ideal for applications where the display is located far from the main controller or where the host system cannot directly support a graphics library. The onboard MCU manages all HMI tasks and protocols, supporting both standard and custom communication schemes, while powering the panel via a single low-cost cable. This design makes IDPs especially suitable for industrial, building automation, and distributed control applications.

Bridgetek also positions the IDP modules as a time-to-market accelerator. By supplying panels in ready-to-use enclosures with display sizes ranging from 3.5” to 10.1”, and providing free graphical design tools, examples, and board support packages, engineers can rapidly prototype and deploy polished HMIs. Integrated peripherals (such as audio buzzers, ambient light sensors, LEDs, and optional RFID readers) further enhance usability without additional hardware design. Together, these features allow designers to focus on application development while reducing risk, cost, and development time.
