Diotec Semiconductor 3990 & 3991 Demo Boards
Diotec Semiconductor 3990 and 3991 Demo Boards offer a robust and reliable platform with temperature stability and a wide input range. The compact PCBs are designed to save space.
The 3990 industrial-grade demo board provides a Current-Limiting Diode (CLD) and shunt with a 60V input voltage. It can be used to drive standard LEDs with a typical 10mA to 30mA of driving current on variable DC input voltages.
The 3991 demo board implements the LDP01-28AYD2-AQ TVS diode to protect the USB charger circuit against automotive load dump surges according to ISO16750-2.
The 3991.31.1 demo board illustrates the functionality of the LDI55-ADEEN linear regulator. The board includes a wide input range of up to 50V, low-dropout (LDO) voltage regulators that enable function, and supplies up to 1A of output current. Only two small ceramic capacitors are required to implement the linear regulator solution. Simple device measurements such as line and load regulation and dropout can be presented with a single voltage source, a voltmeter, an ammeter, and a load resistor.
The 3991.31.2 demo board employs Diotec Power MOSFETs (DI280N10TL) in the Power Delivery Unit (PDU), positioned back-to-back to cut current in both directions. A parallel configuration is utilized to boost current capability. A TLP152 gate driver controls the gates. A BVE-M-R0002 shunt current sensor measures the current.
