Festo ELGD Axis Units

Festo ELGD Axis Units are available in two types: ELGD-BS with a ball screw drive and ELGD-TB with a toothed belt drive. Both types include various sizes and standard and wide versions, ideal for a wide range of electromechanical automation tasks. The ELGD series provides rigidity, large feed forces, and a durable guide system. The guide technology offers excellent load capacity and also occupies less space within the axis, while reducing vibration, providing a smoother slide movement, and protecting sensitive workpieces. Additional features include a long service life to minimize downtime, high speeds for short cycle times, and a reduced profile height. The stainless steel cover strip solution enables use in clean rooms and in harsh ambient conditions. Typical applications for Festo ELGD Axis Units include cantilever systems, handling systems for top loaders, 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and pick-and-place solutions for handling small parts.
