KEMET 250VAC AC Capacitors (Industrial Grade)
KEMET 250VAC AC Capacitors CAN series are ceramic capacitors qualified for continuous use under 250VAC and 50Hz/60Hz AC line conditions. These AC capacitors are available in a variety of case sizes and high capacitance/voltage (CV) values. The capacitors feature low leakage current and low equivalent series resistance (ESR) at high frequencies. The capacitors are available with an optional flexible termination technology that provides superior flex performance over standard termination systems.

This series is available in X7R and C0G dielectrics. X7R exhibits a predictable change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage and boasts a minimal change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature. C0G exhibits no change in capacitance with respect to time and voltage and boasts a negligible change in capacitance with reference to ambient temperature.
The CAN series is specifically designed and tested for 50Hz/60Hz line frequencies and other critical applications. KEMET AC capacitors are designed to offer more than 50x capacitance compared to safety-rated MLCCs. Typical applications include AC/DC converters, AC filtering, power factor correction, and power supplies.
