NXP Semiconductors MCF51EM ColdFire® Microcontrollers

NXP Semiconductor MCF51EM devices are smart-meter-on-a-chip 32-bit ColdFire® V1 Microcontrollers with an embedded LCD controller, a 16-bit analog to digital converter, and metrology-specific peripherals optimized for smart meter applications. These high-performance MCUs include RTC with tamper detection and dual 128K / 64K blocks of Flash for robust field firmware updates. MCF51EM256 and MCF51EM128 MCUs allow designers to develop a turnkey electrical metering solution with customized silicon designed specifically for the electrical metering market. NXP Semiconductor MCF51EM MCUs include AMR SPI, tamper detection, and a 100-pin LQFP package.
