Omron Industrial Automation A2W Wireless Pushbutton Switches

Omron Automation A2W Wireless Pushbutton Switches employ a sub-GHz band to combine wireless reliability and ease-of-use in consideration of work environments. Manufacturing sites require more versatile and flexible production systems due to the frequent changeover of low-volume production. The A2W switches offer the freedom of production line layouts, simple addition to existing facilities, and installation of moving parts. The 922.5MHz frequency band of these pushbutton switches reduces interference by providing a better signal in locations with obstacles. These pushbutton switches are capable of self-power generation by the button tactile operation to eliminate the need for a power supply, batteries, or maintenance. This enhances safety and energy saving in the pushbuttons.

The A2W wireless switches confirm the visualization of pushbutton reception status using the existing reception confirmation LEDs. Supporting up to 1 million operations, these pushbutton switches are available in six (red, green, yellow, blue, white, and black) colors and two (mushroom, full-guard) designs. The A2W pushbutton switches feature an IP-65 rated degree of protection against dust and water. Typical applications include automated guided vehicles, closing shutters or doors of warehouses, forklifts, and notifying ON/OFF information (missing item information or work completion notification).

Features

  • Sub-GHz band for reduced interference and better signal propagation to difficult-to-reach areas
  • Visualization of impedance to wireless transmission because of damage or noise, using Master Unit error output
