Texas Instruments ADC12020 12-Bit 20MSPS ADCs
Texas Instruments ADC12020 Monolithic CMOS Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADC) convert analog input signals into 12-bit digital words at 20 Mega samples per second (MSPS). The architecture includes a differential pipeline with digital error correction. Additionally, an on-chip sample-and-hold circuit minimizes die size and power consumption while providing excellent dynamic performance. The ADC12020 consumes 185mW at 20MSPS, including the reference current, all while using a single 5V power supply. The power consumption is reduced to 40mW during power down mode. Optimum performance is achieved with full use of the differential input. The device provides ease of use through the buffered, high impedance, single-ended reference input, which is converted on-chip to a differential reference for use by the processing circuitry. The ADC12020 is operational over an industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C.Features
