Würth Elektronik Horticulture LEDs

Würth Elektronik Horticulture LEDs are high-power LEDs optimized to deliver specific wavelengths that have been selected to match the absorption spectra of photosynthetic pigments, making them ideal for greenhouse applications. Würth Elektronik Horticulture LEDs are offered in compact 3535 ceramic packages with gold-plated contacts and a water-clear silicone lens. These LEDs feature tight wavelengths, forward voltage binning, and low thermal resistance.

Würth Elektronik LEDs are offered in deep blue (450nm), hyper red (660nm), and far red (730nm) for optimal plant growth photosynthetically active radiation (PAR). Deep blue is linked to the regulation of chlorophyll concentration, lateral bud growth, and leaf thickness. Hyper red is the main driver of photosynthesis and is essential for the growth of stems. This wavelength also regulates flowering, dormancy, and seed germination. Far red is in the IR spectrum. This wavelength influences germination, can reduce the flowering time of plants, and also can increase stem length as part of the plant's natural shade avoidance response.

Würth Elektronik LEDs can be combined with Würth Elektronik WL-SMDC Mono Color LEDs, WL-SUMW Ultraviolet LEDs, WL-SIMW Infrared LEDs, and WL-SWTC White LEDs to create unique light recipes for specific plants, enhancing the different stages of their growth and development.

LEDs offer higher efficiency than conventional lamps, reducing energy consumption, water usage, and cooling costs. LEDs also offer a longer life than conventional lighting sources, reducing or eliminating bulb replacements.
